Principal's Message

Dear OLMC Families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the Principal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School. I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead in a school that has a rich tradition of spiritual strength and academic excellence. During these past few weeks, I have had several conversations with staff, parents, students and parish members. It is very evident that a collaborative environment exists between all stakeholders to provide the best possible academic and faith-filled experience for our students.

I have been dedicated to Catholic Education for 20 years with Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board. My most recent position was as vice-principal at St. Ambrose and Jeanne Sauvé school in Stratford. Prior to that, I was a Literacy Resource Teacher and I anticipate sharing my strengths in this area with our school community. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year where we create a strong love for learning, a fun and safe environment for all students to thrive and a caring Catholic community that puts all student’s first. I highly value the home/school connection. It is vital and plays an integral role in each child’s success. Please do not hesitate to contact me if/when the need exists. I encourage you to become involved in our joyful learning community and look forward to meeting each of you.

May God bless you.

Rebecca Liotta
