What is the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC)?

In accordance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, the Board has established a multi-workplace Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) which operates in accordance with the Joint Health and Safety Terms of Reference. The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is committed to ensuring both the physical and psychological health and safety of its employees through the promotion of safe work practices and procedures and maintaining a healthy and safe workplace. The Internal Responsibility System within the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board acknowledges that everyone has direct responsibility for health and safety as an essential part of their job.
