Kindergarten

In Kindergarten, teachers and early childhood educators work together and offer complementary skills that create a robust learning environment to support the unique needs of each child within a Catholic classroom setting. Kindergarten is designed to help children develop the foundational social, emotional, academic and physical skills and spiritual development necessary to succeed in school and in life.

Through instruction and play-based learning, children will develop their capacity in language and mathematics. They will build a strong foundation for future learning and engage in healthy physical activities and the arts. Additionally, our children will develop socially and emotionally through interaction with their peers and adults.

Children who will be four years old (JK) or five years old (SK) by the end of the calendar year in which they are enrolling and who live within the boundaries of a school can enroll in Kindergarten. All schools within the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board offer Junior and Senior Kindergarten.
